We encourage house holders to engage in household chores . We focus on their capabilities rather than limitations. What sets our Homemakers apart is their innate curiosity and their ability to uncover what brings out the best in each householder .
Role Overview:
- Engage with people in a gentle, warm, and authentic manner.
- Attend to residents' personal care needs as needed .
- Assist with general household chores, including cooking , cleaning and laundry.
- Employ creative strategies to spend the day including daily outings .
- Home maker will be people focused and not task focused; people come first.
McNally House :
- McNally house is a premium house located in Upper Mt Gravatt.
- Each level is unique both in layout and design. All bedrooms are spacious and caters for residents differing care needs. The living spaces offers residents a sense of ownership and personalisation.
- Working in a small house environment with only 9 to 10 residents in each house
- You will be working for the same house and valued home maker to ensure the experience for our residents is always at an optimum
About You:
- Do you enjoy running a home?
- Do you have a good understanding of household model care?
- Do you have a good understanding of aged care standards and dementia care?.
- Are you enthusiastic and compassionate about delivering high-quality service with the ability to thrive in a collaborative household environment?.
- Do you have strong communication, organizational, and computer literacy skills?.
- Do you want to be part of a self-managed team ?.
- Do you believe in Quality risk taking ?
- National Police Check required; Driver's License an advantage.
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (or similar) and two years of relevant experience.
- We offer permanent part time (20 to 30hrs /weekly )
