THE ROLE
We are seeking Community Support Assistants to provide a range of services to elderly clients, including social support, personal care, medication support, meal preparation, light domestic duties, and transportation. As a member of our team, you will focus on restorative and wellness approaches to support our clients' independence and engagement.
Your work as a casual Community Support Assistant will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We are looking for passionate individuals with experience in aged care or support work who possess attributes such as respect, confidentiality, understanding, and empathy. Respect for WHS procedures and legislation is also a must.
Alzheimer's Queensland strives to ensure stability for employees and familiarity for clients by making a conscious effort to provide consistent clients to our Community Support Assistants.
ABOUT YOU
- Cert III qualification in Aged Care/Community Care/Individual Support (or equivalent qualifications) essential
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Queensland Open Drivers Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Decent availability to cover casual shifts 7 days a week
- National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
