Position Overview

We are currently seeking experienced and certified Dementia Respite Assistants to join our dedicated team at our Multi-Service Center in Arundel. In this role, you will focus on client-centered communication and support, allowing you to directly impact the lives of individuals living with Dementia.

This position offers casual shifts during the morning and afternoon on weekdays, with occasional overnight or weekend shifts available. Your contributions will be vital in helping clients maintain their dignity and connection within their community.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for compassionate individuals who are committed to enhancing the lives of others. If you have a genuine passion for supporting people with Dementia and have the necessary qualifications, we want to hear from you!

  • Experience in providing care for frail aged individuals, particularly those with Dementia.
  • Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support or Community Care.
  • Flexibility to cover all AM and PM shifts across a 7-day roster.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate and Open Australian Driver's License with access to a vehicle.
  • Strong commitment to understanding and meeting client needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to participate in staff meetings and ongoing education.
  • Current COVID vaccination.
