Alzheimer's Queensland (AQ) is one of Queensland's leading not-for-profit aged care providers, delivering community care, allied health, respite and residential aged care services.

Join our leadership team as Home Care Manager, leading our Support at Home operations across Queensland and New South Wales. This opportunity offers an attractive remuneration package, including a $150,000 base salary, 12% employer superannuation, and a fully maintained Mazda CX-5 for personal and business use, recognising the importance and scope of this role.

Reporting to the State Manager, you will oversee the operational performance of the Support at Home program, providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams while ensuring exceptional client outcomes, compliance, financial sustainability, and service growth.

This is a key position responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting organisational growth, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and Support at Home Program requirements.

 

About the Role

As the Home Care Manager, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of our Support at Home operations across Queensland and New South Wales. You will ensure high-quality service delivery, provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams, optimise operational performance, and contribute to the strategic growth of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support multidisciplinary teams across multiple service locations.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality, client-centred services that promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Manage workforce planning, service delivery, budgets, and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, Support at Home Program requirements, and all relevant legislation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and client outcomes.
  • Lead organisational change initiatives and support the successful implementation of new programs and processes.
  • Mentor, develop, and support leaders and staff to build a high-performing and engaged workforce.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within Home Care, Community Care, or the aged care sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the Support at Home Program, Home Care Packages, and/or the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple service locations.
  • Strong financial and operational management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
  • A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel across Queensland and New South Wales.
  • Full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
