Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer | Upper Mount Gravatt | 6 months contract

About This Opportunity

Alzheimer’s Queensland (AQ) is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer to join our finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.
This is a busy, high-volume role where you will manage the full AP/AR function — from invoice processing and payment runs to reconciliations, reporting, and stakeholder queries. You will work across multiple systems and interact with internal teams, suppliers, and clients, making this a varied and hands-on position.

Salary: $42.5 per hour + 12% superannuation + salary packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume accounts payable invoices with accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage payment runs and supplier reconciliations.
  • Handle accounts receivable billing, invoicing, and collections.
  • Monitor outstanding debtors and follow up on payments.
  • Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Support month-end reporting, journals, and financial processes.
  • Maintain accurate records across multiple systems including Attache.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
  • Provide backup support for reception enquiries as required.

About You

  • Must have full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable / Receivable.
  • Experience in high-volume transactional environments.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with accounting systems (Attache or similar preferred).
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Confident working across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
