About This Opportunity

Join Alzheimer’s Queensland as a Clinical Nurse, providing clinical leadership and ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centered care within our residential aged care service.

This is a permanent full-time position where you will take accountability for clinical governance on shift, support and guide care teams, and drive continuous improvement in resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical care including assessment, planning, and evaluation.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and care staff.
  • Monitor resident health and respond to changes, escalating risks appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance requirements.
  • Oversee medication management and clinical documentation accuracy.
  • Support audits, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage clinical risks, incidents, and infection control practices.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

About You

  • Must have full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in aged care or gerontology nursing.
  • Strong clinical skills including medication and care planning.
  • Experience leading or supervising clinical teams.
  • Solid understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance.
  • Strong communication and decision-making capability.
