Be a key driver of clinical excellence and continuous improvement in our residential aged care facilities. This unique role allows you to work embedded in the RACF, providing audits, coaching, and education under the direction of the Clinical Governance team, while remaining independent from the facility roster.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Governance team, supporting our residential aged care facilities. You will focus on continuous improvement, auditing, and staff education, ensuring compliance with aged care standards and embedding best practice across all clinical areas.
You will not be part of the RACF roster or operational team but will work closely with staff and management to drive clinical quality and safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and reviews across RACF services to monitor compliance with standards and legislation
- Recognise and action areas for innovation at both the facility and organisational level
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide actionable recommendations
- Deliver staff education and coaching to improve clinical practice and knowledge
- Support the Clinical Governance team in identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with facility managers and staff to implement changes that enhance care quality
- Contribute to reporting and recommendations for the Director of Clinical Governance
About You
You are a Registered Nurse with:
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in residential aged care
- Experience in clinical audits, continuous improvement, or quality initiatives
- Ability to educate, mentor, and influence staff
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, reforms, and compliance requirements
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work independently
