We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Hospitality Assistant (Kitchen & Cleaning) to join our caring team at Windsor Nursing Care Centre

This is a multi-skilled role where you will support both kitchen and cleaning services, helping to maintain a safe, hygienic, and homely environment for our residents. Your contribution will play a vital role in supporting residents’ wellbeing and comfort every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with IDDSI-compliant food preparation, including texture-modified diets; meal service, and dishwashing.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
  • Complete cleaning duties across resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces.
  • Support laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and organising linen.
  • Follow infection control, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with hospitality and care teams to support daily operations.
  • Contribute to a respectful, resident-focused environment at all times.
  • Flexibly support both kitchen and cleaning duties depending on operational requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised, and takes pride in their work. Experience in aged care hospitality or cleaning roles is highly regarded but not essential.You will also bring:

  • A patient, respectful, and team-oriented approach
  • Previous experience in a kitchenhand or hospitality role (aged care preferred)

  • Knowledge of IDDSI standards and texture-modified diets (or willingness to learn)

  • Understanding of hygiene, food safety, and infection control practices.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to support different tasks across the team.

  • A caring and respectful approach when interacting with residents.

  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, must be available at least 3 shifts a week, especially Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Other Information

  • This is a casual position based onsite at Windsor Nursing Care Centre.
  • You may be required to work across different shifts, including weekends.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a National Police Check and meet relevant compliance requirements.
