Lead Respite Assistant

Alzheimer’s Queensland (AQ) is a leading not-for-profit organisation delivering high-quality community and respite aged care services to older Australians aged 65 years and over. With over 500 specialist staff, we are committed to person-centred support that promotes dignity, independence, and meaningful engagement within the community.
We are seeking a Lead Respite Assistant to join our Ipswich Multi Service Centre in an independent, hands-on role supporting both respite and community service delivery.
About the Role

Support the Regional Services Manager with client intake, onboarding, and service commencement processes

Coordinate and facilitate personalised respite activities and community-based engagement programs

Assist clients in accordance with individualised support plans

Support and guide Respite Assistants in maintaining high standards of care

Maintain accurate client documentation, records, and reports to support high-quality service delivery

Contribute to the smooth daily operations of the centre and community services
About You
-
Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (mandatory)

Minimum 12 months’ experience in community or respite aged care

Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Current National Police Check, First Aid & CPR, and valid driver’s licence
