We are seeking a Quality & Compliance Officer / Continuous Improvement Officer to play a key operational role in strengthening and maintaining AQ’s Quality Management System.
Working closely with the Clinical Governance & Quality team and service leaders, you will support high-quality, person-centred care across community services by driving continuous improvement, supporting accreditation, maintaining ISO systems, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, collaborative, and improvement focused.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Support the implementation of continuous quality improvement systems across all services
- Conduct site audits, monitor outcomes, and contribute to risk identification and management
- Assist with accreditation preparation and support internal and external audits
- Maintain Quality Management System, including controlled documents and policy reviews
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate continuous improvement action plans
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of mandatory reports.
- Draft, review, and update organisational policies, procedures, and training materials
- Provide quality and compliance advice to managers and service leaders
- Promote staff engagement in quality improvement activities
- Support complaints management, investigations, and resolutions
- Maintain quality-related meeting schedules, records, and governance documentation
- Contribute to clinical education initiatives and internal training programs
- Stay current with sector developments, research, and best-practice approaches
To be successful in this role:
You are a proactive quality professional with a strong understanding of aged care standards and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement and consumer-centred care.
- Nursing qualification minimum (Diploma or Bachelor)
- Current AHPRA registration
- Experience across both residential and community care settings
- Strong working knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, ISO standards, WHS, and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with quality systems, auditing, compliance reporting, and accreditation processes
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including policy and report writing
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
