Alzheimer's Queensland (AQ) Multi Service Centres provide a restorative and wellness approach to support older people stay engaged within their community. Our Multi Service Centres are based in home like cottages in order to evoke feelings of comfort, relaxation and personability, familiarity and independence. Activities are currently carried out in the multi service centre, in the community and in clients’ homes which ensures each person receives personalised care whilst being supported to achieve individual goals.

At Alzheimer’s Queensland (AQ), the quality of the living environment within our homes is fundamental to delivering exceptional care. We are currently seeking experienced Casual Registered Nurses to join our passionate team at Garden City Aged Care Centre.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, person-centred, and evidence-based clinical care to our residents. You will work in genuine partnership with residents, their families, carers, allied health professionals, and the broader care team to support shared decision-making and holistic care planning.

This role requires flexibility to work casual weekday, weekend, and night shifts, while contributing to a warm, supportive care environment.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Willingness to work casually across all shifts
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential aged care, ideally supporting residents living with dementia
  • Strong commitment to AQ’s model of care and person-centred practice
  • High clinical competence, including care planning, assessments, documentation & clinical oversight
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements and the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and support care staff in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve effectively
  • Empathy, patience, and understanding of the needs of frail, elderly, and cognitively impaired residents
  • Clear National Police Check
  • Current COVID-19 vaccinations
