The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our Finance team working from our Upper Mount Gravatt Office. This is a pivotal, end-to-end payroll role where you’ll take ownership of payroll operations across our growing workforce.

You’ll work collaboratively with HR and operational managers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience. This role is perfect for a detail oriented professional who enjoys both autonomy and teamwork, and who takes pride in delivering high quality results in a supportive environment.

This role is full time Monday to Friday based on site with potential for access to RDO or 9 day fortnight. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant awards and legislation.
  • Maintain and reconcile payroll records, including leave, allowances, overtime, and salary sacrifice reconciliations
  • Respond to payroll related queries and provide clear, professional advice to managers.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee onboarding, status changes, and workforce planning.
  • Assist with superannuation processing, payroll reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to system and efficiency enhancements.

About You

You’re an experienced payroll professional who brings both technical expertise and a genuine commitment to service excellence. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Minimum five years’ experience managing payroll for 500+ employees.
  • Sound understanding of payroll legislation, industrial awards, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Access Micropay (or similar payroll systems).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Valid Queensland drivers licence
